Hey Rockers!

We’re very excited to be back destroying venues in the UK this week and headlining the opening night of Le Beat Bespoke Festival in London on Thursday. Here’s the dope on the shows, playing with Black Box Revelation in Brussels, new tracks, a competition to win tickets for the London show and details of The Jeffrey Lee Pierce album that we’re very proud to be part of…….

JIM JONES REVUE PLAY LONDON ON THURSDAY & TOUR UK IN APRIL!

The JJR explode back into the UK this Thursday when we headline the inaugural night of Le Beat Bespoke Festival at 229 in London. We then head out on short 8 date tour of UK cities and towns we haven’t played before or haven’t played for some time where we’ll be exclusively unveiling new songs that we’ve been working on for the next album.

Check out some of the new tracks from a live session on Marc Riley’s Six Music radio show when we blew apart the new BBC studios in Salford last week….

http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/showcase/clips/justadded#/clips/p00qhtt6/in/justadded/justadded

Special guests for the tour (except Gloucester) are Welsh instrumental surf rockers Y Niwl who opened for The JJR at Shepherds Bush Empire last October. You may also be familiar with Y Niwl as Gruff Rhys’s band. Check Y Niwl out tonight when they also play in session on Marc Riley’s 6 Music show.

Hotly tipped West London rockers The Savage Nomads play with us in Gloucester.

We’re running a special competition to win a pair of tickets for Le Beat Bespoke show on our Facebook page….Enter here www.facebook.com/thejimjonesrevue

JJR PLAY WITH BLACK BOX REVELATION AT AB IN BRUSSELS ON 10 & 11 APRIL!

We’re also delighted to announce that we been invited by Black Box Revelation to play with them at their two shows at Accienne Belgique in Brussels on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 April. These will be our biggest Belgium shows to date and we’re very excited to be playing the legendary AB with one of Belgium’s best bands-Details & links in the tour listing below.

JEFFREY LEE PIERCE ALBUM WITH JJR TRACK RELEASED NEXT WEEK

Our UK tour also coincides with the release of The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project: The Journey is Long which features a track by The ‘Revue. This is a unique album that pays tribute to the legacy of Jeffrey Lee Pierce & his band The Gun Club which features a stellar cast of musicians interpreting unrecorded JLP songs including Nick Cave, Debbie Harry, Mark Lanegan, Warren Ellis, Lydia Lunch, Tav Falco, Barry Adamson, Tex Perkins and Mick Harvey among many others. The JJR are huge JLP and Gun Club fans and are very excited & honored to be part of this project. The band’s track ‘Ain’t My Problem Baby” closes the album in typically raucous fashion-Check out this version on You Tube from our show at Shepherds Bush Empire last October…..
